Technology
PICO is not “just another Q-Switch”. Instead of heating the dye, an ultra-short light pulse breaks it apart mechanically. With a shock wave, not heat.
A pulse more than 10× shorter: pigment shatters under the shock wave before the skin has time to heat up. At 532 nm the pulse lasts 350 ps.
A pulse measured in picoseconds lasts a thousand times shorter than a nanosecond. The pigment is broken apart mechanically, the skin does not overheat. Recovery is shorter and the treatment is safer.
A Master Oscillator Power Amplifier generates and amplifies the pulse separately, which keeps the ultra-short duration at high peak power.
The beam passes through precision mirrors, lenses and polarisers: it is amplified, collimated, filtered and compressed before reaching the laser arm.
Included
The cooler lets you work at higher pico powers without pain or excessive skin reactions, making the treatment more effective. Without cooling, the client will not tolerate the parameters that deliver real results.
That is why a cooler with pico is the standard for professional and safe removal.
The other half of the treatment
Tattoos are often scarred already, and the treatment itself leaves a fresh wound. The laser breaks up the pigment. What happens to the skin afterwards is the work of cold plasma: healing, inflammation and antimicrobial protection of the wound.
